Traditional Flower Sketch Quilt

This quilt is a stunner, and it's my homage to the Frank Lloyd Wright This quilt is an homage to my grandmother. She has two sets of the same cream curtains that she switched out with the seasons. One set had a blue grosgrain ribbon trim, and the other set had a rose grosgrain ribbon trim. I loved those curtains so much because my mom never used blue or pink in our house growing up. This quilt was even shown in the Kenmore Quilters Guild Triennial Quilt Show!

This quilt top base is cream with pink and blue pieced borders framing each floral sketch.

The backing is a cream base with hash markings in light cream, beige and greige. It provides movement to an otherwise simpler backside. It's a gorgeous compliment to the quilt top. 

The batting is a high loft cotton which gives the perfect amount of substance while still being thin. 

This quilt is expertly quilted on a domestic machine using vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines creating a triangle design and adding so much texture and dimension.

The binding is hand stitched to the backing. 

The quilt measures 54" x 58".

Washing Instructions: No special instriuctions. Wash and dry as you normally would. After the first wash and dry, it will get that crinkly quilt goodness. The more you use it, and launder it, the softer and more loved it will become! Don't be afraid to use this quilt. The whole point is to love it and find comfort and warmth in it! Enjoy it!
